Dear all, I have an office building with an auditorium, which is served by the same AHU that serves the surrounding office. The question is how to model the system for this zone in the baseline building. My main baseline system is 7. G3.1.1, exception b -> I need a separate system 3 or 4 (CAV) for this single zone, as the occupancy is more than 31.2 W/m2 higher than typical other zones. 6.4.3.9 -> the zone is > 50 m2, has a higher occupancy than 40 P/100 m2 and the baseline main system has an air-side economizer (S7), therefore demand controlled ventilation required BUT, according to the exceptions, I do not need a DCV, as I have a system with exhaust energy recovery of min. 50 % Conclusion: model the auditorium zone separately with system 3 or 4, constant air volume, without demand controlled ventilation. BUT, when I check the excel sheet tab "general HVAC", I find the point: Demand control ventilation is modeled in the baseline case for all spaces larger than 500 sq ft (50 sq m) that have a design occupancy for ventilation of greater than 40 people per 1,000 sq ft (100 sq m) of floor area (except for spaces served by baseline systems that do NOT have one of the following: an air-side economizer, automatic modulating control of the outdoor air damper, or a design outdoor airflow of greater than 3,000 cfm (1,400 L/s)) per G3.1.2.6 / 6.4.3.9. -> this says for me the opposite as section 6.4.3.9 itself? How should I model the auditorium? Thanks! Sarah
