Hi Everyone,
A project I'm modelling has a MAHU supplying 1800 l/s of Outdoor Air to the kitchen area to compensate for the 2000 l/s exhaust from the kitchen ecology unit. I have two questions:
1. Should this Outdoor Air be included in the Proposed Model or the energy consumption of the MAHU can simply be put on the electricity meter as a process load and kept identical in both the proposed and baseline models?
2. If the 1800 l/s is to be considered in the Proposed Model, will this also be considered in the Baseline Model? If so, how can the Minimum IAQ Calculator Sheet be edited to show that 1800 l/s requirement because by default it only considers the area outdoor air rate and the people outdoor air rate?

1. Yes, the MAHU should be modeled directly in the Proposed model since the energy to condition the outdoor airflow will vary with outdoor air conditions.
2. Exhaust requirements are not included in the Minimum IAQ Calculator, so I would include this outdoor airflow identically in the Baseline and include a note within the Minimum Energy Performance Calculator explaining this.
