NC-2009 EAc5:Measurement and Verification

Baseline in LEED reference guide and IPMVP

Considering EAc5, both LEED Reference Guide and IPMVP use the term “Baseline”. Are both documents referring to the Baseline Simulation Model developed for EAc1, where a model of the building is made using standardized input for installations and constructions etc.?

Yes and no. The same model used for EAc1 should be used for EAc5. The difference is that the EAc5 baseline has been created from the Proposed model which has been calibrated to reflect the actual final construction, operating schedules, weather, etc.
