Evgenia, I would use the model you already have, and pro-rate the amount of energy used by your floors in comparison to the entire building. If your modeling person can isolate the energy used by your two floors, that would be even better. Energy models in LEED for Interiors are technically only concerned with the area that's within your project scope and not the entire building. Paul

Paul, sorry for late comments. 1. So as I understand you, in option 2 I use the entire energy model for the whole building as I have common HVAC plant with other floors, but I only make changes within my project. This is the actual design. Alternative Baseline design is the model by App G of AHSRAE 90.1 2007 (step 6A p 162 in LEED guide) . How does the baseline case (step 6) look in this case? 2. If I use only the space within my project and take existing central plant with all as built values, how is the baseline case done in this case too? When I built an alternative baseline case, what type of system do I have to pick up? It will be a system as for 2 story-building or I have to pick the system as for 7-story building? I am confused with interpretation. Sorry if I repeat something. I really wish to clearly understand how is correct. Thank you, Genia

Genia, For your #1: Sort of, you build the model of the complete building and then, if possible, separate the energy used by your portion from the rest of the building. If that proves impossible, try what i've written below. For your #2: If you model the just your area, then you need to include whatever HVAC system is being run, but you only need to account for the HVAC energy used by your portion of the building. Your baseline and proposed system types should be based on the total building area (not your portion of it)
