Hello,
Is the strategy of using a "bake out" to remove VOCs from interior building materials advisable? I seem to recall studying for the LEED Exam years ago and reading that it's something that should not be done. I've tried to find sources online to clarify, but most are older articles. Has anything changed? Does anyone have insight as to the current status of using a "bake out" approach?
Thank you,
Evan Halstead

Evan, it is not advisable. It's a notion from the 1980s that has not been backed by research and is seldom heard from.
