NC-2009 EAc3:Enhanced Commissioning

AV systems?

Do AV systems need to be commissioned for LEED. Such as, if they lighting were connected to the AV system?

Not directly, although I have had projects with very complex central AV systems where they were added to the scope of commissioning. But to the extent that the lighting control is interfaced to the AV, I would include that part in the scope. For example, if the lighting in the room is controlled by the AV panel through computer, wall, or podium controls, that part of the system would need to be included. The various "scenes" and other methods the AV uses in programs for different presentation or configurations would not be in the scope of systems that are energy related.
