In LEEDv4 NC it is stated in the reference manual (p735) that "Auditoriums must be included in the daylight requirements, but a lower illuminance level is acceptable; see recommended illuminance values in The Lighting Handbook, Table 24.2."
We cannot find these values in our 9th edition of the book and table 24-2 is about underwater lighting. Can anyone kindly share what the recommended values are?

You need to upgrade to the tenth version, so much more in it including table 24.2.
Well, the recommended lighting levels in an auditorium vary depending on what main activity will be. So the few activities that a typical auditorium have occurring, lecturing and performances. So for lecturing, and this depends on whether AV is involved and noted taking is required, ranges from 10 fc to 100 fc. Performance lighting levels, on stage, anywhere from 2 to 1000 fc depending on the activity.
There are two pages of lighting levels for auditoriums, remember, these are electric lighting levels and not daylight levels. People are more acceptable to the variances in daylight then electric light.
I would look at providing at 10 to 25 fc minimum for the audience area of the auditorium. This way it would handle lighting levels for lectures and note taking. The stage, I would not worry about what you provide there based on the multitude of things that will occur there.
