CI-2009 EAc1.1:Optimize Energy Performance—Lighting Power

Are Underground Parking Areas included in CI LPD calculations

We have a project where the Tenant is taking over part of the Core and Shell building's underground parking and have cordoned off the area with fences and gates etc. We have included the area in our SSc4 credits and the lighting is also dictated by the tenant. 1. In this situation, and in general, can underground parking area lighting be included in the EAc1.1 credit calculations for LPD? 2. Is the parking area included in the Building Area Method Allowances for the "Office" building type? The wording in ASHRAE 90.1 is really not clear on this. Thanks for your help.

Since the parking garage was built as part of the Core & Shell, I do not think it would be eligible for the LEED CI submittal. Particularly, if the parking garage was included in the LEED Core & Shell submittal, then this has already been covered.
