Are phase change materials (PCM) seeing increased use?

Hi,

I have a colleague doing research on PCM in several projects. For context in their report, they were wondering if this group has seen any recent increase in application of PCMs in recent years. Is it just in ceilings or other applications? If so, what products are being used? They were having difficulty finding manufacturers other than the one used in their test projects.

We tried to use PCM in a couple projects recently. The only manufacturer I could find was Phase Change Solutions. We had trouble getting them to communicate with the subcontractor and provide the material on time. Ultimately the owner pulled PCM out of the projects. My colleague mentioned that they have had good communication with Insolcorp and are studying their Templok product.
