Are garage areas counted?

To whom it may concern, I have a question that I did not find a solution to in the LEED EBOM Reference Guide or in the credit-by-credit forum on this website. In the audit that will be made in the building, do I have to consider the garage areas? In the site plan there is a parking garage. Thanks.

We have never audited garage spaces and been fine. That's never a 100% guarantee that they won't start requiring them in the future, but you should be OK not doing the garage.
