If our company manufactures disinfectant products that bear the EcoLogo and Green Seal certification, is it necessary to still use a cleaning vendor with those certifications, if they are going to be using our products?

Hi Claire, the cleaning vendor will need to be GS-42 or CIMS-GB certified if you want to demonstrate compliance through Option 2. If your vendor isn't certified you can use Option 1 instead.

If I want to use Option 2, is there a local equivalent certificate for Europe or Germany? For example ISO 14001?

Hi Christian, I haven't seen any published guidance on specific equivalent certification programs for non-US projects (also haven't seen anything saying ISO 14001 is pre-approved). If you want to be 100% sure I think your best option is probably to ask GBCI directly. Please let us know what they say, if you do!

Hi Christian,
Did you get any guidance regarding whether ISO 14001 is valid for Europe?
Thanks!
