Has anyone had success using coco mats (made from material derived from coconut husks) as the entryway system? I know that GBCI has been picky about carpet tile products being specifically designed as a "walk off carpet tile" in the past and wondered if the coco mat option has been allowed.

Hello Jason, we are having the same discssion with a design team on a current project. We haven't submitted for review yet but are advising that a coco mat would need to have a solid, non-porous, backing, and be maintained on a weekly basis to comply with the permently installed entryway system requirements. This is what is in the v4.0 reference guide, hopefully it's an acceptable approach.
