I realize this is most likely quite a basic question, but in V4.1 are allowable quality view areas only for those regularly occupied spaces within the 3x head height zone and all others do not count? If so, for example, at least 75% of all regularly occupied spaces must be inside that zone. And, if a regularly occupied space is deeper than the 3x head height, then only that portion of the space within the 3x head height counts?
Thank you all so much.

That's correct! i've found that it is simpler to document than v4 by a long shot, but if you're falling short of 75% v4 might let you claim some spaces with good sight lnes in a deeper floor plate.
One tricky thing is that the USGBC calculator doesn't have a way to enter spaces that are partially compliant, it's just the space ID, square footage, and yes/no on compliance. You'd need to enter the compliant and noncompliant areas on two separate lines or build your own calculator.

Emily, you totally cleared away my brain block! I kept wondering why the V4.1 calculator doesn't have the column for identifying the portion of a space that is compliant that was in V4.0. Thank you for sharing!
