Hello,

We are currently documenting the water efficiency alternative compliance path “Whole Project Water Use Reduction” for an industrial building. When consulting the UN AQUASTAT Tool, has anyone used the monthly rainfall and ETo rate given by the AgERA5 data of the Average year instead of the rate given in "Historic values"?

As the historic values refer to the years "1961 -1990", we believe the more recent AgERA5 data better represents the landscape baseline requirements for the project's location as those are referring to the years "1979 - Present". More importantly, the project is located in the northern part of Mexico where shortages and droughts have been prevalent, which is why we consider important to reflect the current conditions of the site.

We would appreciate any insights or experiences regarding the use of AgERA5 data in the Annual Water Use Reduction Calculator.
