Appendix G - Baseline Building Rotations

Hi All, Are baseline building rotations necessary for a new building that is connected to an existing building. Note that the new building is being modeled as a stand alone. Can some one direct me to the section in ASHRAE which explains when baseline building rotations are necessary? Thanks a lot!

90.1 is vague on rotation of existing building and combinations of new/existing ones. LEED does not require the rotation of existing buildings. Combinations are a bit vague so I would suggest when in doubt rotate. If your building is new and stand alone then the baseline must be rotated.
