Hallo in my project i know the exact capacity of my building in terms of occupants/transients.

My question is now do i still have to do the FTE Equation1 of the appendix?

Building Gross Square Feet
FTE Occupants = –––————–––––––––––––––
Gross Square Feet per FTE

Or can i base my FTE Occupancy on the known capacity of my building?

CS projects are directed to use default occupancy. However, it is more common to use the actual planned occupancy of your project, rather than a calculation based on capacity—unless you believe that capacity is the best representation of how the building will be occupied.
