I know that Sherman Williams provides a list of products that can be used for this credit. I am wondering if anyone has found other manufacturers that provide detailed information about there products which can be used for this credit? Thanks!

I just reached out to Armstrong to see if they have done the analysis on any of their ceiling tiles. I'll let you know what they say.

I'm hopeful that if this credit is attempted more frequently, it will push manufacturers to disclose the requirements needed very clearly. I think one of the main barriers right now in completing this credit is the lack of information available from smaller manufacturers (and sometimes even larger ones). It also shouldn't be necessary to use 3 or 4 different documents from a manufacturer to find the information we need (i.e. Material Safety Data Sheet, EPD, HPD, etc.) All of this information should be in the same place, even if this means manufacturers are required to fill out the Integrative Analysis of Building Materials matrix themselves. After all, they should know this information the best out of anyone.

We have only been successful with submissions of Sherwin Williams products so far -- primarily because the information needed was readily available. We have used Armstrong ceiling products for other Materials & Resources credits though and I believe the information needed is available on Armstrong's website.

Hi Becky, were you successful in submitting for this credit using 3 products from only Sherwin Williams? I am unclear from the credit language if the 3 products should be from 3 different manufacturers. Any advice is appreciated!

In my experience, GBCI is looking for three product types. For example, we have been successful submitting 1 paint product, 1 insulation product, and 1 ceiling tile product.

Hi, the credit requirement explicitly asks for three different materials. Now, this may sound confusing, as you can use three different products from the same manufacturer. However, looking at the purpose of the credit, our team has always included products from three different manufacturers. This approach allows us to explore and understand whether manufacturers in the market have disclosed enough information regarding their products for the design team to make informed decisions. Along with Armstrong and Sherwin-Williams, we have also used Owens Corning and Rockwool previously, which was approved by GBCI.
