Hi I am currently handling a LEED CI project in the Phillipines.
Apparantly I have encountered an addenda Stating an Alternative Compliance Path Outside the US for LEED CI. I just don't know if it would be applicable for V2009. Here is what was stated in:
MR Credit 5 - Regional Material
Alternative Compliance Path Outside the US
Option 2
Building materials or products shipped by rail or water have been extracted, harvested or recovered, as well as manufactured within a 500 mile total travel distance of the project site using a weighted acerage determined through the following formula:
Distance by rail/3)+(Distance by inland waterway/2)+(Distance by Sea/15)+(Distance by all other means)

Mary Ann, I am not sure what question you are asking. Can you clarify what you are interested in doing, and what uncertainties you have about it?

HI Tristan. I would just want to know if this alternative compliance path(see above) is acceptable in LEED CI V2009. Since my project is in the Philippines and most of our materials are sourced abroad, using this alternative comliance path would really help us.

Does anyone have experience with this Alternative Compliance Path Outside the US? What sort of documentation did you need to provide to prove goods moved via rail or ship?

I'm not sure you need to provide any documentation to prove anything. Presumably if you did the research you have some documentation; I would rely on that if asked for an upload.
