Algae Photobioreactor Facade?

Hello Everyone!

Wondering if anyone has expertise in Algae Photobioreactor facades? Here is a product: https://cellparc.com/

My basic understanding is that they produce heat and biogas (as well as providing shade and some thermal value.)  However, I am not clear on the GHG balance benefit, so to speak.  I cannot determine if the upfront emboided carbon, and any operational energy) pays itself back in GHG savings, and as compared to what.  And in NYC where this is being proposed, I am not even sure we can use the biogas on site due to the electrification law (really emissions limits on site).

(In general, I need to increase my understanding of the biogas, biochar, or short cycle carbon flows and how we should handle those best a those as compared to long term carbon cycles/fossil fuel versions.....)

Thank you so much for sharing any thoughts/ideas!!

Similar to this project. https://www.arup.com/projects/solarleaf/ I suspect its going to be a while before this is feasible on a project that's not a demo. Arup would be a good place to start.
