NC-v4 LTc4:Surrounding density and diverse uses

Airport Terminal - Surrounding terminal and diverse use

Hello to everyone,

I am wondering if it is possible for an airport terminal to earn any of the  points concerning the Diverse Uses of the credits.

I remind you that in order to earn points of this credit we need to Locate the project's main entrance within a ½ mile (800 m) Walking distance of the main entrance of specific facilities (1-2 points). But in the case of the airport terminal, the specific facilities like (restaurants, pharmacy, police station etc) are inside the building and not out of the buildings. Can I still go for these points?

Hi Konstantina, definitely get in touch with USGBC on this one. This has come up on previous airport projects and there are workarounds for this and other credits that don't quite fit.

At a minimum, the services need to be accessible to everyone. Specifically, they should be located outside of security.
