We found some answers to this in the LEED Online Help, which is found from the credit information page for a credit, to the right. Basically, you will fill out the master credit and then choose "alternative compliance" in the individual project's credits, and refer them to the master credit.

Thank you Brittany. I tried dozens of searches whithin help. Using your information I was able to locate the corrrect tab in the help index- "2010 LEED Application Guide for Multiple Building and On-Campus Building Projects (2010 AGMBC) " Which unless you stretch the window accross a very wide screen, reads "2010 LEED Application..." For those of you having difficulty finding this, go to Help, Navigating Projects in LOv3, During: Tools& Resources, and it is a form tab below the Schools Resources folder. There you will find the specifics of how to administer a Master and Block project. Hopefully as the LOv3 functionality continues to improve, they will update the help indexes as well.
