I have a CI project for a Library. The team is looking to pursue prescriptive compliance for this credit. The issue is when attempting to complete the AEDG table, I don't know which category Library would fall under. It isn't a retail space nor a hospital, and definitely not a K - 12 school. I was thinking perhaps a small to medium office, but I'm just ball parking it to that as the only relative default.
Also, I'm having trouble adjusting the AEDG Recommendations in the table to Zone 4. I selected Zone 4 in the Instructions tab, but the AEDG Recommendations are still for Zone 1.

I don't think that there is an applicable AEDG for a library. You could try to use the small to medium office one and see if the reviewer would accept it.

Ok thank you. I do have another question, because this library is a commercial interior project, a lot in the Envelope section of the AEDG does not apply because it's not in the scope of work for the library. Can we get away with skipping those items in the Envelope with something like "Commercial Interior - Not In Scope"?
I would think the only thing to fill out would be doors, vestibules, and possibly fenestration since the library is situated on the ground level of the base building. Please let me know what you think.

Sure for a CI project you are only held to what is in your scope of work so you should be able to "skip" the already built portions of the envelop.

Ok cool. But now comes the more crucial question. If I skip the already built portions of the envelope, does that mean I am exempted from getting 2 - 4 points under the building envelope section of the AEDG or do I get 2 - 4 points automatically?

You only get credit for what is in your scope of work. You don't get the points.
