Our building is following ASHRAE 90.1-2016 for code compliance purposes.  Under section 8.4.3 Electrical Energy Monitoring, there is an exception for "Critical and Equipment branches or NEC Article 517."  NEC Article 517 is a section of the electrical code is for Healthcare facilities.  The Critical branch typically includes hospital "red plug" receptacles, any equipment directly related to patient care, nurse stations, lab equipment, medicacl storage, etc.  The Equipment branch typically icludes HVAC equipment, med gas pumps, kitchen equipment, etc.

Because the energy code exempts these electrical loads from having to be metered, recorded, and reported, does a similar exception apply to this LEED credit?
