I'm trying to wrap my head around modeling an adiabatic humidification system for our project that I can't directly model within TRACE that I know of.  I'm planning to model the humidification load using purchased steam to have a good output of the usage through the year and then the thought was I could manually apply electrical use based around the load for operating the pumps and the water disinfecting/filtration equipment.  The main issue that I have is the cooling effect the process will have and how to account for it as it relates mainly to the additional heating I would have while the system is needing humidification (and could apply to some of the cooling benefit if in warmer/drier times of year but wasn't planning on it) and how that would affect the baseline calculation as well?  Has anyone dealt w/ this in a model or in a LEED submission?

Thanks,

Mike
