NC-v4 EQc2:Low emitting materials

absence of material in a category

What if there is no material in a certain category, e.g. composite wood? (where the definition seems to be rather limited to hardwood plywood (non-structural), particleboard and medium density fibreboard, excluding OSB, hardboard etc.).

If I have no composite wood in my project, can I claim that category at all? Or would I have to artificially add a small compliant amount of material in that category?

Hi Jens, I don't see any way to pursue that category without some qualifying material in the project. Its unusual to have no presence of engineered wood inside a building project - even if just a fire retardant sheet of plywood to serve as blocking / backer board in the communications / IT / Electrical equipment room.
