In the building we are modeling 3 tyes pf glass (3 different U values and SC) are used by the architect.Is it acceptable for EAP2 that I do the following:
1-Use % or glass on each elevation provided by the acrhitect( i am iusing equest) and i think this is easiest solution than adding manually each glass because the pattern is very cmoplicated...how is the leed review is going to check the glass distribution ( which report he will ask to be provided?)
2-In the baseline i Took the total percentage of glass provided by the achitect and I assumed it is a single glass so i can have same distribution in the baseline.

1. The glazing distribution in your models should be representative of the actual design. It is OK to deviate slightly as long as the orientation and window area are basically the same and any differences would not have an impact on energy use.
2. The baseline should be the same unless the the actual overall window-to-wall ratio is greater than 40%. If it is the baseline must be modeled at 40%. The baseline windows can use the same performance parameters assuming that the framing type is the same. If you have some curtainwall/storefront and some windows the baseline values typically differ and you would need two baseline glazing performance values.

allow me to ask this additional question:
1-how will the leed reviewer ( and me eventually verify ) if the software (equest) is gona generate the same percentage of glasses is there a specific report I ( he ) will look for.

In eQUEST the DOE2 report that confirm the input data in the model is the LV-D report.

i agree with you but against what the leed reviewer will verify i will only provide him the total % of glass?

Correct you are only required to enter the total % window-to-wall area in the appropriate Section 1.4 Table.
