We have a project on a "campus" site with existing buildings. The Owner has installed an extensive array of PVs which are shared by buildings on this site. The array is extensive enough to provide for the energy needs of all of the connected buildings--including 100% of our project. Because the array is large/extensive and serves other buildings, it will sit outside of the LEED project boundary for this project--and will be treated as a "master-planned campus" element that serves compliance, much like master-planned stormwater solutions serve compliance for SS Credit 6.1/6.2 or shared showers serve SS Credit 4.2. My questions are as follows:
1)--If we have PVs to provide for 100% of the energy needs, will this earn 19 points for EA Credit 1? (performing energy model as compliance path);
2)--Does the project also earn the full 7 points under EA Credit 2 (and is not "double-dipping")?
Thank you for your help! Just trying to get it right!

Brooks, this kind of "double-dipping" is allowed.I would say you should be able to earn all the points, but make sure you review the LEED Minimum Program Requirements supplmental guidance, as well as the campus guidance, so that you understand LEED boundary issues and getting credit for features located outside the boundary.
