A leading green-building consultant, panelist and educator, Yancy is known for his drive to find better ways to build sustainably without a cost premium. As a recognized leader in company-wide sustainable operations, Yancy has helped Sellen Construction become the largest green building contractor in the Pacific Northwest and 25th largest in the US. He brings experience from working on over 40 LEED certified commercial building projects for world-class clients such as the Seattle Department of Transportation, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GSA, Amazon.com, University of Washington, and Children’s Hospital.

Having evolved his own professional role from a LEED Project Coordinator to his current role as Director of Sellen Sustainability, Yancy’s dedication to influence organizational change has resulted in the development of a construction sector sustainability assessment. Key to Yancy’s success is a belief in the importance of training and education at all levels of an organization from senior management on down to the field team. His passion and talent for teaching has helped shape new approaches to addressing sustainability while improving the bottom line.
