BIO

Since 2011, Vern has provided energy modeling for McDonald’s LEED Volume program stores, the Duke University NZE McDonald’s study, and provided food service expertise for the follow-on Rocky Mountain Institute Net Zero Energy McDonald’s study. He also developed food service energy profiles for an Army Dining Facility Prototype, the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Cafeteria, and two hotels in the Shanghai Disney Resort.

While at Architectural Energy Corporation, Vern provided energy modeling services for the first LEED® Gold certified Yum! Brands quick service restaurant, and developed food service energy profiles for the LEED Platinum certified Center for Community at the University of Colorado.
