Sandy Mendler is a nationally recognized design leader and advocate focused on creating inspiring, healthy places for sustainable living. An architect and sustainable design leader, she brings over 25 years of design experience with diverse building design and planning projects; four of which have been recognized as AIA Top Ten Green projects of the year. Her research, writing, and project work focuses on integrating the design of high performance green buildings with natural systems and advanced infrastructure to achieve rigorous sustainability targets. Sandy served two terms on the USGBC's national board of directors and was involved in the early development of the LEED Green Building Rating System.
