RAND EKMAN, FAIA, LEED-AP BD+C HKS, Inc.
Rand Ekman, FAIA, LEED Fellow, is Chief Sustainability Officer at HKS. He has a bachelors in philosophy and a masters in architecture. An early advocate for sustainability he was a member of a number of USGBC Committees. He was Co-Chair of the LFRT Sustainability Committee, 2015 Chair of the AIA Committee on The Environment (COTE), and 2012 President of AIA Chicago. He continues to be involved in the AIA’s 2030 Commitment program.

Rand has a Master Arch from the U of I Chicago following a BA in philosophy from UCLA.
