Alicia Chu is a Senior Project Manager for Healthy Buildings’ Sustainability Group. Ms. Chu joined Healthy Buildings after completing her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Social Ecology and Urban Studies at the University of California, Irvine. Her responsibilities at Healthy Buildings include project coordination, project and client management, and developing LEED certification tools and educational and marketing material for internal and client use. Ms. Chu is a LEED® Accredited Professional specializing in Existing Buildings with experience in public planning and policy. In 2011, Ms. Chu facilitated the LEED certification of over 6 million square feet of commercial office space.
In addition to Ms. Chu’s background in sustainability consulting, she has experience in the development and implementation of various public policies and plans. Ms. Chu co-authored the March/April 2010 Issue of the APA Journal PAS Memo.
Ms. Chu is currently pursuing her MBA with The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine with an expected graduation date of Spring 2015. She is also actively pursuing her Certified Energy Auditor certification with experience in overseeing commercial energy audits and mechanical system upgrades.
