Social Equity and LEED

You’ve probably been hearing more about equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in your firm—and for good reason. The building professions just aren’t up to the standards of the 21st century. (See more on our sister site, BuildingGreen.com.)

What you may not know is that LEED has begun addressing EDI in a variety of ways, including credits, pilot credits, and a separate checklist for projects. These features cover equity issues for the project team, the surrounding community, and even the product supply chain.
