Overview
This tip sheet provides ideas and resources for the curriculum component of the School as a Teaching Tool credit. This Innovation credit is available to projects using the LEED for Schools rating system (both BD+C and EBOM). The credit is offered under LEED 2009 as IDc3, and offered under LEED v4 in the innovation catalog.
Remember that the requirements and compliance options for this credit have been expanded in LEED v4. A curriculum designed around the LEED project is not the only option for student education, and it’s also not the only requirement you’ll need to meet (teachers now need training too!) This tip sheet is intended to address the student curriculum component of the credit only, and is applicable to both LEED 2009 and v4 projects.
