What does it cost?
Cost estimates for this credit
On each BD+C v4 credit, LEEDuser offers the wisdom of a team of architects, engineers, cost estimators, and LEED experts with hundreds of LEED projects between then. They analyzed the sustainable design strategies associated with each LEED credit, but also to assign actual costs to those strategies.
Our tab contains overall cost guidance, notes on what “soft costs” to expect, and a strategy-by-strategy breakdown of what to consider and what it might cost, in percentage premiums, actual costs, or both.
This information is also available in a full PDF download in The Cost of LEED v4 report.

Remove the extra "s" in "isssued"
In alphabetical order, add the term "An appurtenance is any built-in, nonstructural portion of a roof system, such as skylights, ventilators, mechanical equipment, partitions, and solar energy panels."
Remove the row for Green Infrastructure and Buildings, Prerequisite 3, Connected and Open Community
In the third line of the term "Connectivity," remove the text "(up to 20% of total intersections)"
In alphabetical order, add the term "Gross floor area (based on ASHRAE definition) is the sum
In "3 years after first bldg occupancy" section, replace sentence with "Subsidized transit passes provided."
Below the paragraph, add the following section:Units of Measurement GuidanceIn order to facilitate certification review by U.S.-based reviewers, it is necessary to submit pertinent aspects of review-related documentation in English and convert units to U.S. Standard (i.e. Imperial) units of measure, unless noted otherwise in the credit or prerequisite description. It is not necessary to translate every aspect of every construction document into English and imperial units, but only those necessary for evaluation of LEED criteria. The project team should be prepared to provide additional translation(s) if requested by the reviewer in their preliminary review comments.
Replace the definition of "cul-de-sac" with "a segment of the circulation network that terminates without intersecting another segment of the circulation network."
Remove the "80% occupancy" section
Insert the term "major renovations" in alphabetical order with the accompanying text "major renovations extensive alteration work in addition to work on the exterior shell of the building and/or primary structural components and/or the core and peripheral MEP and service systems and/or site work. Typically, the extent and nature of the work is such that the primary function space cannot be used for its intended purpose while the work is in progress and where a new certificate of occupancy is required before the work area can be re-occupied."
In the third line, remove the text "(up to 20% of total intersections)"
In alphabetical order, add the term, "Roof area is the area of the uppermost surface of the building which covers enclosed Gross Floor Area, as measured when projected onto a flat, horizontal surface (i.e. as seen in Roof Plan view). \'Roofs\', or portions of roofs, covering unenclosed areas (e.g. roofs over porches and open covered parking structures) are not included in the areas used to evaluate compliance with roof measures in Options 2 and 3, though they may be applicable to nonroof measures in Options 1 and 3."
Revise the definition for "existing" to read, "existing present on the date of submission of the first LEED-ND certification documents; similarly, an element or condition that exists is present on the date that LEED-ND certification documents are submitted. Elements or conditions created as part of the LEED-ND project are not considered existing."
At the end of the term\'s first sentence, insert the text "(see USDOE EIA CBECS survey for suggested default nonresidential occupancies)"
Revise connecitivity definition to the following: connectivity the number of publicly accessible intersections per square mile, including any combination of streets, dedicated alleys, transit rights-of-way, and nonmotorized rights-of-way. If one must both enter and exit an area through the same intersection, such an intersection and any intersections beyond that point are not counted; intersections leading only to culs-de-sac are also not counted. The calculation of square mileage excludes water bodies, parks larger than 1/2 acre, public facility campuses, airports, rail yards, slopes over 15%, and areas nonbuildable under codified law or the rating system. Street rights-of-way may not be excluded.

In "3 years after build-out" section, change the period at the end of the second line to a semicolon and add a new line with the text "NPDc8 TDM program funding commitment."
