Julie Paquette has been Director of Energy Management at Yale University for about 6 years. That means the buck stops at Paquette’s desk for the energy consumption of over 400 buildings on campus. Yale has a pretty sophisticated approach to energy, including the Yale Facilities Energy Explorer, an energy dashboard system that shows energy consumption and details for every one of those 400 Yale buildings.

No Smoking, Period
Environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) is a well-documented human health hazard. The only way to eliminate the threat of ETS is to completely prohibit smoking, which is why LEED v4 gives no way around the requirement to ban smoking.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the site. The property line has to be posted with signs prohibiting smoking on school grounds.
Where can I find a list of products with EPDs?
EPD directories exist in most regions of the world, but there is no centralized directory in the U.S. The most extensive list of EPDs openly available in the U.S. is in UL’s SPOT database, which lists products with EPDs along with many other certified claims. Others can be found on the ICC-ES website, on NSF’s website and scattered around the Internet.
Do I have to submit the full EPD with my documentation for Option 1?
No, you can submit a summary with a link to the full EPD, but the summary has to include key identifying information: manufacturer name, description of material, EPD program Operator, and EPD type, and it has to specific the impact assessment method used (typically TRACI or CML).
