NC-v4 EAc5:Renewable energy production

Biomass Process Steam

Can steam produced from an on-site biomass boiler and used exclusively for manufacturing process loads be counted toward EA Credit: Renewable Energy Production in LEED v4 BD+C?
The biomass fuel consists of wood chips from dedicated plantations, where trees are grown specifically for this purpose and replanted after harvesting. Is there any LEED Interpretation, addenda, or reviewer precedent addressing this scenario?

So it sounds like an off-site renewable and it is not one of the prohibited biofuels. So there are conditions for off-site renewables that include a 10 year contract and some level of proximity between the project and the fuel source (same utility territory even though that feels like an awkward fit for your situation). This is all simply from the Reference Guide under Further Explanation for this credit.LEED interpretation 10390 speaks to the cost of the fuel.
