It is clear that LEED v4.0 requires composite wood products to comply with the Composite Wood Evaluation in Table 1. The confusion arises around whether composite wood must also comply with the General Emissions Evaluation. I continue to receive mixed interpretations from contractors and suppliers. Whenever I request CDPH v1.2 documentation—such as the TVOC range, testing organization, and scenario—from composite panel manufacturers, the response is silence.
If composite wood is required to satisfy both evaluations, I cannot be the first person to request this documentation. Can we obtain a definitive interpretation?
