For LEED v4 / v4.1 Low-Emitting Materials compliance, what determines whether a product is considered a wet-applied material? Does LEED evaluate the material based on how it is applied during manufacturing or how it is installed on site?
If a polyurethane (PU) sealant is applied in liquid form during factory manufacturing and fully cured prior to delivery, does it require VOC evaluation under the LEED Low-Emitting Materials credit?
Are pre-formed or gel-type gaskets, supplied as part of equipment , considered wet-applied materials under LEED?
The product in question is a HEPA filter with a factory-applied PU media sealant (fully cured prior to delivery) and an Easy-Pour gel seal used as the filter gasket.
