I would like to clarify the definition and scope of “visitors” in the Advanced Transportation Monitoring pilot credit (LTpc133), specifically under Option 2: Occupancy and Parking Monitoring.
The requirements state that we must perform daily measurements of the count of building occupants and visitors, along with the count of vehicles parked. Here, my question is:
- For the purpose of visitor count, should we include all visitors, regardless of their transportation mode?
- Or should we only include visitors who use the project’s parking areas (i.e., those arriving by private vehicle) since the main objective of Option 2 is to monitor parked vehicle usage?
I want to ensure that the visitor data we collect is aligned with the intent of the credit and will match the parking utilization analysis.
Could you please confirm the correct interpretation and provide any official guidance or references from USGBC?
