Healthcare-v4.1 WEp2:Indoor Water Use Reduction

Indoor Water Use Reduction for 2025 California Plumbing Code

2025 California Plumbing Code Section 210.0 requires all handwashing sinks for healthcare buildings licensed under OSHPD 1,2,3,4,5&6 to have a minimum flow rate of 1.0 gpm, this new handwashing fixture requirement covers the entire healthcare handwashing sinks include public restroom lavatories. Will anyone know how this requirement can satisfy the WE P2 at a minimum? Will there be a different baseline we can use for LEED NC healthcare?

Hi Lincon,This update is too new for most of us to have encountered it yet. I'd recommend going to this article posting and either adding a comment (Wes Sullens should see it and hopefully respond), or try emailing LEED Coach and requesting clarification: https://www.usgbc.org/articles/us-green-building-council-announces-leed-v4-and-calgreen-alignment-california-projectsIf you receive guidance, please do share it back here for our collective reference. Thanks!
