LEED v4.1 Option 2 for LEED v4 compliance Electric vehicles

There are some differences between LEED v4 and v4.1 requirements for Electric Vehicle charging. 

Does anyone know if Option 2 in v4.1 (EV ready infrastructure) can be used as an alternative compliance path for v4.0 which does not include this option?

All v4 credits can be substituted with v4.1. The version date of the v4.1 credit must be from when the project was registered on LEED Online or from a more recent update. No alternative compliance path needed.

Summer, thank you for the reply.   What is the process for substituting v4.1 for v4 credits without updating the entire project?  the form on LEED online is for v4.   Thanks,

When you are on the 'Credits' tab for your project on LEED Online, scroll to the credit you wish to substitute.  On the far right, if it is elgiible, there's a grey circular symbol with an up and down arrow inside.  If hover over it, it will say 'Credit Substitution'.  Click on it, them confirm you want to switch to v4.1.  Now the symbol will be blue and the credit form will be the v4.1 version.  If you change your mind, you can click the credit substitution symbol again to switch back.
