Pilot-Credits EApc143:Zero Energy Performance Index (zEPI) ACP

ACP and Innovation

The zEPI ACP is an pilot credit that can be used in place of the Optimize Energy Performance credit.

It also appears in the innovation drop-down. Does using this ACP qualify as an innovation credit?

See LEED Interpretation 10483 - https://www.usgbc.org/leedaddenda/10483 - It does not qualify for an innovation but exempts the project from needing to meeting a pilot credit to achieve all five points under Innovation.
"If projects achieve a pilot ACP, they are exempted from the requirement to achieve at least one pilot credit. To achieve all five points in the Innovation credit under this approach, projects may select one of the following point combinations:
• 4 innovation and 1 exemplary performance
• 3 innovation and 2 exemplary performance"

Under Innovation, ensure to register for your Pilot ACP, though you will be applying it to the appropriate credit.
And note, the pilot ACP must be achieved as noted in the wording above.
