The Advocacy team (part of the AIA COTE leadership group) would like to amplify actions the USGBC has gathered to defend the IRA. As you may know, the IRA is a bipartisan bill with 63,000 infrastructure projects starting nationwide. The IRA created a powerful suite of federal tax incentives encouraging the real estate community to invest in energy efficiency and clean energy over the next decade. With a new administration and unified control of Congress, valuable tax breaks are now at risk of repeal. The green building community must speak out in support of these tax incentives.
