True Grid "Pavers" and Black Locust Pavers

Hi All:  We are in the design phase for a 5,700 SF project in NH. The team is taking care to drive down embodied carbon where possible. It will be NZE.

A1-A3 emissions are coming in at 67.15 kgCO2e/sf, of which 11.97 kgCO2e/sf is a hot spot attributed to permeable paving and concrete pavers (a little skewed, since lot and patio sizes aren't directly related to building SF).

Does anyone have experience with True Grid "Pavers"? It looks pretty straightforward, costs are inline with asphalt paving and maintenace seems minimal.

I am wondering about the spacing, stability and maintenace of the Black Locust pavers. They don't look too level in the project photos and the gap seems large, wondering if they are more prone to settling over time and causing trip hazards. The patio on this project will also be used for event space, so will need to work for people wearing high heels.

If you've used another alternative low EC product that you like, I'd appreciate the recommendation!

Thanks,

John
