Heat Island Mitigation with Cool Walls

We are working on a LEED project in a warm climate where daily temperatures are high for most of the year. We want to ensure that the cool walls we implement are durable enough and maintain their effectiveness over time. What material selection criteria should we prioritize to meet the credit requirements and maximize the durability and efficiency of the cool walls?

Prioritize materials with high initial and aged solar reflectance (SRI ≥ 29), UV resistance, and proven durability in hot climates. Choose certified products (e.g., CRRC-listed) with low maintenance needs. Ensure compatibility with substrates and compliance with LEED requirements. Good luck!!
