In our experience, we have found that for industrial buildings, the most significant savings under this ACP come from reducing exterior water consumption, as the green areas are much larger compared to other types of projects. In this case, the greatest reductions have been achieved by using xerophytic landscapes or low-water native plants, as the savings in exterior water consumption are substantial. This approach has allowed us to achieve high savings percentages, even when we have no scope for installing water-efficient sanitary fixtures indoors.

I completely agree with Sofía’s comment; addressing outdoor water consumption is very important, either by using vegetation that requires no irrigation or by using alternative water sources to meet irrigation needs. Additionally, if indoor fixtures are included within the project scope, using treated water to meet their demand can help achieve all the points and even reach the Exemplary Performance level.
