I really like and appreciate the direction with whole building LCA within LEEDv5; it helps move this forward to beable to eventunally get the industry to whole building whole life LCAs.
Comment 1: Assess Embodied Carbon prerequisite should include structural wood, the same as other structural framing materials.
Comment 2: Assess Embodied Carbon - currently the prerequisite includes cement separately of concrete, this does not make sense, as cement embodied emissions are already accounted for in the concrete.
Comment 3: the Units between products in table 1 need to be closely reviewed as tons for some products and M3 for concrete are all in one table and therefor the GWP numbers are also not proper. Product trade association can offer help or CLF.

Materials and Resource Credit: Embodied Carbon of interior materials during renovations-
In interior design we design in Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose, Regenerate approach: most products manufactured in the past didn't use LCA approach-
Will this credit apply to new products in the market? Or will it entail even recycled products?
Will there be support in regeneration of old products to new products ensuring zero carbon emission, net zero embodied carbon in these products?
As a designer, I would like for verification of products! On carbon credit: Green washing is taking a stand in the market too;
