NC-v4 SSc5:Heat island reduction

"Weighted sum of non-roof and roof measures" Issue

Under the Summary of Heat Island Reduction Measures, the footnote says "Weighted sum of nonroof and roof measures must be greater than or equal to sum of project paving and roof area for 2 points."  But under the line item for "Weighted sum of non-roof and roof measures (sq.ft.)", there are two values, one from the total weighted area and one from the total standard area.

If the form wanted us to use the weighted sum of non-roof and roof measures, why include both total weighted and total standard in the same line???

Is it to use whichever one is the most advantageous for us against the total project paving and roof area?  Because the non-roof materials won't meet the minimum SR values for either initial or 3-year aged, but the footnote for the Nonroof Measures table says "Materials with a lower SR will contribute to weighted area."  So I think so long as the total weighted area value for both roof and nonroof in the Weighted sum of non-roof and roof measures (sq.ft.)" line is higher than the sum of project paving and roof area then we should comply with the credit, no?

You are correct, the weighted sum of nonroof and roof measures must be greater than or equal to sum of project paving and roof area in order to achieve the credit. So if you are looking at the LEEDonline form, the bolded number on the right in the bottom row (sum of total project paving/total standard area) must be less than the bolded number on the left, three rows up from the bottom (weighted sum/total weighted area).
