Desiccant Wheel Modeling for Baseline case

I am working on a model which has Desiccant wheel in design case. Do we need to model desiccant wheel in baseline case as well? I dont see any section related to this in ASHRAE 90.1, however, in 90.1-2010 Performance Rating method reference Manual under section 3.6.7.2, the baseline building says Not applicable. Can anyone please clarify on this?

Thanks in advance,

John

Did you mean to say you're using 90.1-2010 or 2016? (note: your comment is posted under v4.1, which is 2016). I don't see section or table "3.6.7.2" in 2010 or 2016 or in either User's Manual. Is that a typo?

Note: We've had a few GBCI reviewers comment on our dessicant units in proposed designs over the years. Some have claimed we are doing this for process loads (pools and ice sheets) and it should be the same in both. Other cases we've added them similarly but attempted to show savings on the heating for regen of the desiccant.

Jamy, Thanks for your reply. I am referring to the Performace Rating Method Reference manual (Link: https://www.pnnl.gov/main/publications/external/technical_reports/PNNL-26917.pdf). Since I did not find anything related to modeling Desiccant wheel in baseline in 90.1, I referred this manual. We are doing this to dehumidify record storage rooms. Could you please elaborate on this subject? Thanks, John
